Rangaraya Medical College (RMC) was established in 1958 with the generous contribution of Pithapuram Raja, who donated the site and buildings. The institution was inaugurated by Neelam Sanjiva Reddy and was later taken over by the Government (year to be specified). A major academic milestone was achieved in 2016 with the introduction of postgraduate and super speciality courses. The institution has since shown remarkable progress in advanced medical fields, particularly in Neurology and Neurosurgery, with Neurosurgery seats increasing from 2 to 6 in 2023. The Kakinada Neuroclub (KNC) has remained consistently active, organizing several academic programs and initiatives. Notably, a State Conference was successfully conducted in 2018 under the leadership of MP Ray and Malleswara Rao, reflecting the institution’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
